Germany's best-known comics artist collected his impressions from a trip to Cuba in 2008 on 100 colored pages. With short stories, small comic portraits of his encounters with the people he met in Cuba. „The book mirros the situation and conditions there, some of which I found to be very ambiguous.”(Reinhard Kleist)
In preparation of his picture biography of Fidel Castro, Kleist went to Cuba at the exciting time of the presidential change from Fidel to Rául Castro.
Reinhard Kleist (* 1970, Cologne) studied graphics and design in Münster, has lived in Berlin since 1996. He is one of the most successful German comic artists and illustrators. His comics deal with exceptional personalities in politics, sports and pop culture - and have won numerous awards.
