Maxime Péroz was born on February 22, 1973, in Montbéliard. Thanks to an uncle who subscribed to the monthly magazine Métal Hurlant, Maxime discovered comic book authors at a very young age who continue to influence him, such as Moebius. A graduate of the Fine Arts School of Besançon and the Decorative Arts School of Strasbourg, he turned to children's illustration. At Paquet Editions, he created the world of L'Odyssée du Temps, with Michèle Graveline as the writer (four volumes published between 2002 and 2004). In 2010, he illustrated Guide de survie en milieu alimentaire hostile at Bamboo and contributed to the collective Vies Tranchées at Delcourt.
