Beautiful, high-born and above all a good catch – this is how the queen imagines her son’s future wife... But Prince Skyblue (Jonathan Berlin) wants to pick his own bride and goes out into the world. Soon he meets delightful fairy Lupine (Ruby O. Fee) and it is love at first sight. However, the Queen has been spying on them and is furious. In her distress she releases from prison the witch Confidante, who once wanted to seize the throne, and instructs her to separate the two lovers. Since Confidante wants to marry the prince herself, she puts a terrible curse on the couple…
Martin Dietrich, born in 1979, was co-founder of the film collective MANIAC-Film. A fellowship holder of the German National Academic Foundation, he studied theatre arts at the Freie Universität Berlin and from 2002 to 2007 earned a degree in Media Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Following this, he founded a production company “Gruppe Weimar” and worked at the Thalia Theater Halle (Saale) from 2009 to 2012.
