Lungisa Bandile Makapela is a Self-Taught visual artist, born in the Western Cape on the 20th of March 1998. Lungisa grew up in Eastern Cape and currently in the rural area of kwatyutyu next to Bhisho. He went to Alexandria hoër Skool for his formal education, unfortunately he never went to tertiary institutions because of financial issues. Lungisa Makhaphela was introduced to art at the age of 5.Growing up he taught himself how to draw and paint, luckily he had the guidance of others. He is currently running a portrait business in his village. He is known around bhisho for his beautiful drawings and paintings.
