Naledi Chai - Fly Machine Projects

Fly Machine Projects is based on broad arts research with a focus on the collaboration between visual arts (collage, print, painting and dressmaking to design clothes, hosiery and shoes) and the knowledge we gather through visual arts practice and various forms of design to explore textile and different levels of printing on varying fabrics.

Fly Machine Projects is currently developing a shoe whose original design is both classic and timeless, and proudly South African. The aim is to take a design that is original and practical and re-contextualize it within various spaces within the arts, particularly fashion and industry.
