About the Artist

Araya walks a path between existences and nothingness. Through her works and artistic practice, Araya explores feelings of loss as well as the momvements between life and death. Araya’s film and video works challenge the morality and tolerance of viewers through playing with various signifiers and provocative examples. In a number of works, Araya reads her own text, which may be in the form of an academic discourse, everyday notes or a dialogue. Araya gradutated from Silpakorn University in Thailand and the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig in Germany. Araya is also active as a novelist and lives and works in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
