In search of his stolen loot, which was buried under a school gymnasium, small-time hoodlum Zeki Müller ends up as a substitute teacher at the Goethe Comprehensive School. Involuntarily, the young man begins a teaching career. With his unusual teaching methods, however, he manages to get the problem class under control. Even the overly correct trainee teacher Lisi Schnabelstedt is amazed by this. She supports the new teacher with advice. Both also like each other, not only professionally. But Zeki soon has to decide whether he wants to continue his criminal career or lead a decent life with the love of his life. As a comedy of a special kind, it is one of the most watched German films. A diverting film that reflects the everyday life of students in an entertaining way.
