The backpack library is a mobile library with books for children and young people that can be used in German lessons in a variety of ways. At the Goethe-Institut Athen one backpack is available for primary education teachers and another one for secondary education teachers.
This initiative is aimed at providing children and young people with an exceptionally motivating way of accessing the German language and the world of their peers, their everyday lives, their interests, conflicts and fantasies through literary texts written for them.
