Description
Young people become sexually active later than it was still the case 10 years ago. The lack of the right person or feeling of being too young are cited as reasons for sexual hesitancy. Among 14-year-olds sexual activity tends to be the exception. 50 percent of young people aged 17 have had sexual intercourse. Condoms are mainly used as contraception when having sex for the "first time. Schools are important partners for sex education and should create an inclusive, diverse and above all positive environment. They must also take a stance against homophobia and transphobia.
