Stories of migration characterize our modern societies, in which people from different cultural backgrounds search for belonging.The Goethe-Institut's “Longing/Belonging” festival presents artistic contributions and social discourses from Germany and North America.

Cultural diversity is celebrated, but at the same time, new social boundaries are emerging, as films such as Republic of Silence, Kaddish for a Friend, Zuhur’s Daughters and Nasim illustrate.

From the beginning of Septembre to mid-October, these four movies are streaming for free on Goethe on Demand.
