Cmok! Цмок! Tanzen! is a weird punky fairy tale about connecting in times of alienation inspired by Belarusian fascinating mythology and disheartening reality. We get together on the 23rd of March between the equinox and the full moon to create our own rituals craving for empowerment, recognition, and equality, for us, for you, for all. Keep Minsk Weird summon an ancient Belarusian drag/on Cmok, a fabulous fluid flexible creature, to be our guide through the event. We liberate it from the context of an antagonist in the fight against male saviors but leave it free to remain a tempter by active consent.

The concept of celebration doesn't solely belong to raves and parties. The manifestation of life while processing the loss is a universal solution that interconnects different times and cultures. When there's a need for understanding, empathy, and connection - dancing, music, spoken word, visual art become a form of support and can also become a symbol of resistance. Movement is the opposite of stagnation; loudness is the opposite of violent silencing. Keep Minsk Weird develop rituals to help express our feelings through our bodies - with Cmok! Цмок! Dancing! we want to share stories and reclaim our emotions, our sensuality, our joy and our faith.

You can fully participate or quietly observe, pray, slay, cast a spell, or plant a little fragile flower. Hide behind a mask or show your true colors, just don’t forget to put on your goodie two dance shoes.
