hostes by Taīz Nawab

The radio series Soundspuren is moderated by Taīz Nawab and focusses on cultural workers in exile. The first edition's guest is Sudanese architect and musician Mazin Satti, who has been living in Germany for nine months. In Soundspuren, Mazin talks about music in everyday life in Sudan and about the longing for connections to his homeland. The series Soundspuren is about everyday life, culture and music from regions where local and international cultural centres, such as the Goethe-Institut, have had to close due to precarious security conditions or censorship. Many artists have therefore lost spaces to live and work there. Artists and cultural workers from Sudan, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Belarus and other countries talk about their home countries and what their lives look like in Germany today.

Soundspuren will be broadcast every four weeks on Fridays at 7pm on ByteFM.

The series Soundspuren is organised in collaboration with ByteFM.
