Janaína and her father, Alfredo, find themselves ensnared in a traffic jam, an immediate consequence of a recent flood. In a moment of thoughtlessness, Janaína discards a plastic bottle out of the car window. This act triggers a narrative that tracks the bottle's extensive journey as it navigates through the city's sewer system, meanders across freshwater basins, flows alongside riverside communities, and eventually finds its way to the vast expanse of the ocean. There, it joins the massive conglomerates of plastic waste, forming one of the many infamous plastic islands that mar the ocean's natural beauty.
