Jaroslav Ostrčilík

(*1983) grew up in Lower Austria after the fall of the Wall. During his German studies in Brno, he initiated the so-called reconciliation marches to commemorate the expulsion of the city's German-speaking citizens. In a leading role, he oversaw various projects from 2015 to 2020, such as the Year of Reconciliation (Rok smíření) series of events and the Meeting Brno festival, which combines the city's history with current issues. Jaroslav Ostrčilík lives in Prague and works as a freelance journalist and PR consultant.
