Jenny Wüstenberg

Historian

Jenny Wüstenberg joined Nottingham Trent University as Associate Professor of Twentieth Century History in September 2019, after being a DAAD Visiting Assistant Professor in Politics as well as German and European Studies at York University in Toronto. Her research interests include, among others, comparative politics and history, memory politics in Europe and in settler colonial societies, civic activism and democratisation. Wüstenberg's book Civil Society and Memory in Postwar Germany was published in 2017.

Wüstenberg is founding Co-President of the Memory Studies Association, founding Co-Chair of the Research Network on Transnational Memory and Identity in Europe in the Council for European Studies and currently the Co-Chair of the German Studies Association's Interdisciplinary Memory Studies Network.
