Prof. Dr. Martin Visbeck

Prof. Dr Martin Visbeck is Head of the Physical Oceanography Department at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and Professor at Kiel University in Germany. As part of the UN Ocean Decade, Visbeck presented the UN Ocean Decade's "Digital Twin of the Ocean" programme. This programme aims not only to deepen our understanding of the ocean, but also to derive recommendations for action.
