March 2020 German days In March, an event of two days was introduced for intensive German study to all students in Oman. 2019 November 2019 Teachers’ advanced training The Omani teachers gathered in Sohar in November for a few days to refresh their language and methodology knowledge and exchange ideas on current challenges. Summer 2019 Youth language course in Germany In the summer of 2019, four Omani students and two accompanying teachers had the opportunity to travel to Germany. 2018 November 2018 Girl’s Day Omani society is changing: women are increasingly conquering the world of work. April 2018 German Festival Students from the Hail Al Awamer School and the Barka Bint Thaalaba School organized a festival of the German language in spring 2018. March 2018 Teachers’ Training Week In what was already the third week of teacher training as part of the pilot project “German at Schools”, two experts from Goethe-Institut briefed the Omani German teachers about German culture and people. 2017 October 2017 Gulf Language Camp for youth from three countries 23 girls and boys from Oman, Qatar and Kuwait were able to gain more than just language experience in a golf language camp in Oman. May 2017 “Fit in Deutsch 1” Certificate Closing Ceremony 76 lucky boys and girls were able to receive their “Fit in Deutsch 1” certificate on the stage of the Omani Ministry of Education. 2016 October 2016 Multinational Language Camp In 2016, the Goethe-Institut Gulf-Region organized for the second time a one-week language camp for 23 PASCH-students in the Gulf region. March 2016 German Omani Students’ Exchange In March, nine female students from the Salzmann School in Thuringia, Germany and their teacher visited their Omani partner school, the Al Amal School in Barka, for the first time. 2015 May 2015 Open Day at the Goethe-Institut The Open Day took place at the Goethe-Institut Muscat on May 2nd. May 2015 Fit-1-Exams 80 Omani students passed with success the exam of “Fit in Deutsch 1” and laid therewith the foundation for an international future career. 2014/ 2015 The Aquanauts (Film project) In the international film series “The Aquanauts”, young Gulf residents in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) approach the importance of water in their everyday lives for the first time. 2014 2014 “Germany in a suitcase” Exhibition The exhibition "Germany in a suitcase" at the Goethe-Institut showed insights into everyday life for Germans - from garden gnomes to the most popular German first names to energy generation using wind turbines. 2012 2012 "The Other Me” (art project) In the art project “The Other Me”, the Omani PASCH students exchanged ideas with students from the Elsa-Brandström School in Hanover.
