Goethe examinations may only be conducted by qualified examiners. We train and certify German teachers at the
examination locations so that they can conduct and assess examinations together with the Goethe-Institut Belgium.
For each exam you wish to conduct at your school, you must attend a corresponding examiner training course for each level and obtain certification.
Examiner training
The examiner training courses usually take place annually in September and October at the Goethe-Institut in Brussels. The dates of the examiner training courses are set in May. If you would like to be informed automatically about the new dates, please subscribe to the free
newsletter Deutsch lehren. A training course lasts one day (10-16:30) and costs € 100 per person including materials and lunch.
Certification of examiners
After participating in an examiner training course, you are entitled to take part in the worldwide online examiner certification process, which can be completed annually from mid-August to the end of October. The examiner certification in the individual levels must be repeated every 5 years. Participation in the certification is free of charge. Registration is organised by the Goethe-Institut Belgium.
REGISTRATIONS FOR EXAMINER TRAININGS
Only German teachers from the
exam locations can register for the examiner training courses. The German teachers must have at least language level C1.
