Project Manager (m/f/d) for a Project in the Field of Culture and Creative Industries Based in Georgia

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager for an EU-funded project in the field of culture and creative industries in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. This pioneering initiative aims to strengthen various sectors in these countries, focusing on positioning culture as a driver of economic growth, social development, equality, and resilience. By emphasizing sustainable creative ecosystems in non-capital cities, EU4Culture supports the EU’s commitment to fostering strong international cultural relations by advancing culture-driven economic and social development.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Leadership Role: You will manage the project (total volume approx. €10 million) and lead the project team (approx. 19 team members).
  • Financial Oversight: You will ensure the efficient use of project funds.
  • Collaboration & Networking: You will collaborate and network with organizational units of the Goethe-Institut, the EU, and other partner organizations.
  • Progress Monitoring: You will oversee and manage project progress, ensuring continuous reporting.
  • Representation: You will represent the project externally, advocating for its goals and achievements.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Educational Background: A completed academic degree, preferably in administrative, political, communication sciences, European studies, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in education, culture, or information sectors.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing cultural projects, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and collaborating with diverse cultural institutions and stakeholders.
  • Institutional Collaboration: Extensive experience working with partners in institutional and public sectors.
  • EU Project Familiarity: Familiarity with contributing to large-scale, especially EU-funded, projects.
  • Regional Knowledge: Experience in working with one of the partner countries is advantageous.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and high social competence.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and German (C1 level).
  • Goethe-Institut Knowledge: Familiarity with the work of the Goethe-Institut is an advantage.
