SEPT CHANSONS
A concert in Catalan, Italian and Spanish at the Maison de la culture Côte-des-neiges, at 7:30 pm, Sept chansons brings together actress and singer Valérie Gagné and composer and guitarist Caroline Planté around various traditional repertoires and poetry in music.

It was while working on pieces in Catalan, Italian and Spanish that their project was born: to make arrangements for voice and guitar of poems set to music and to record them. To tell a story of dreams, forgetting and the sea.

A multilingual musical evening to mark the 12th edition of the European Day of Languages in Montreal. The evening will end with a fun quiz on the linguistic and cultural diversity of the metropolis.

What is the European Day of Languages?
At the initiative of the Council of Europe, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated on September 26 every year since 2001. In Montreal, it has been celebrated since 2013. This day reminds us of the many benefits of language learning, especially in terms of continuing to develop cognitive skills, breaking down cultural barriers and opening the door to new friendships and professional opportunities.
