As part of the Goethe-Découverte platform, the Goethe-Institut Kamerun presents the stage performance of Fortune, on Friday 20th, September 2024 at 07.00 pm at MACBY (Maison de la Culture Bandjoun de Yaounde - located in Tsinga, near SNEC.)
The winner of the Goethe-Découverte competition in the "Dance" category, Fortune Rose Gweha Nyambe, who goes by the stage name Fortune, is a Cameroonian hip-hop dancer and trainer. She was inspired by Chantal Gondang, a famous Cameroonian choreographer and artistic director. Fortune is passionate about urban dance and the development of dance in Cameroon. She recently won the first prize in the choreographic competition on African thoughts through body language, a competition supported by the Institut Francais.
Today, the winner of the Goethe-Découverte competition in the "Dance" category is a dance trainer, giving hip-hop dance classes to young Cameroonians interested in dance. She is also involved in artistic and innovative projects aimed at the development of urban and contemporary dance in Cameroon.

Initiated in 2015 by the Goethe-Institut Kamerun, Goethe-Découverte is a platform for promoting young Cameroonian artistic talent in several disciplines (comics, music, visual arts, theatre, dance, performance). The winners are selected by a jury of professionals following a competition and receive support in preparing and producing their creative project.
