“Who is allowed to show what? And who is being looked at?”
Katharina Pethke becomes professor at Hamburg’s University of Fine Arts, where both her mother and grandmother had studied. This becomes a catalyst for reflection and research. Reproduction directed by established filmmaker Katharina Pethke, examines the ideal images of women in art, explores questions of identity, and looks at power and gender relations across three generations of women who are artists and mothers.

BIOGRAPHIES
Thekla Kyritsi
Thekla Kyritsi is the directress of the Cypriot NGO, Center for Gender Equality and History (KIIF). Her educational background revolves around social and political sciences, with her PhD thesis focusing on the history of women’s movements in Cyprus during the colonial rule. Through her work at KIIF, together with her colleagues, she explores women’s and gender history, and works for women’s visibility and gender equality. She has a growing passion for education and culture, particularly in relation to content and methods to cultivate a society of gender equality, peace, and inclusiveness.
