Q: Arrival and departure

Supervised transfer from the airports Hamburg and Bremen For flights landing or departing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the official arrival and departure day, a transfer is offered between Hamburg (HAM) and the course location in Bremen (waiting times possible). One of our employees will be waiting at the transit area exit in the arrivals hall to greet the children when they arrive. He/she will be carrying a Goethe-Institut sign and will have identification. For organisational reasons, we cannot tell you the name of the employee until three days before the start of the course, at the earliest. On the departure day, we will accompany your child as far as the airport check-in. Further information on arrival and departure can be found in our FAQ.

As a trading city, Bremen has always been seen as open-minded. Young people meet between brick buildings and half-timbered houses – in summer, it’s the outdoors that beckon for people to socialise. The perfect place for a language camp! Young people can learn German, explore the city and exchange ideas with students from all over the world.

Learn German – the adventure of your life

In the centre of the city and yet surrounded by nature: this is possible at our language camp in Bremen. The camp for young people aged between 15 and 17 offers much more besides a city feeling: after a day of German lessons, camp participants can relax on the Weser beach just a few minutes' walk away or take advantage of the many sports and leisure activities on site. Ambitious young people can book a Goethe exam at a discounted price during the course.

German lessons take place daily in the morning. Lessons are also planned for two to three afternoons. On weekends, the camp’s students can apply their new knowledge on excursions or while exploring Bremen. The accommodation is located on the Stadtwerder, a peninsula on the river Weser in Bremen. On the one hand, we are surrounded by greenery and, on the other, we are just around 2 kilometres from Bremen city centre.

Our students from all over the world live together in 2-, 3- or 4-bed rooms complete with shower and WC. Three meals are offered daily – mainly with regional products. We always offer our camp participants a wide selection of different dishes. Drinks and refreshments are available during the breaks and in the afternoon.

We take care of the safe transfer between Hamburg Airport and the language camp in Bremen on arrival and departure.

The protection of your children is taken care of. After leaving their home country, all youth camp participants are protected by health insurance, as well as accident and liability insurance.

City trip and alpine adventure

Our course participants will certainly find it exciting to explore their host city of Bremen, which can look back on more than a thousand years of history. During a city rally, the students on our German course will get to know the most beautiful corners of Bremen, which even includes a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town hall and the Roland statue in front of it on the market square. The magnificent town hall bears witness to the self-confidence of the Hanseatic city and its citizens. The Roland is the eleven-meter-high figure of a knight with the imperial coat of arms on his shield, the largest surviving statue of the Middle Ages in Germany. There is also a monument to the Bremen Town Musicians at the town hall.

There is also a medieval atmosphere in the Schnoor district, where narrow alleyways between small craftsmen's houses are reminiscent of times gone by. Bremerhaven is also part of Bremen. There you can visit the Emigration Center, a museum about the migration of Germans in the 19th century.
On another day, we take our course participants to the Wadden Sea on the North Sea for a wonderfully muddy mudflat hike.
