My areas of interest:

Maritime Ecosystems

Egyptian waters are in a multitude of crises, which is reflected in the extinction of species, among other things. This is the vantage point of my article, which deals with the disappearance of the sea cucumber. This marine animal is a true “peasant of the seas”, contributing considerably to the balance of marine ecosystems and thus of biodiversity. The overfishing of sea cucumbers has assumed alarming proportions in recent years, threatening this very balance. My article seeks to galvanise the Egyptian authorities, calling on them to finally put an end to the overfishing and smuggling of this precious animal. Only their rigorous action will allow the remaining cucumber population to recover.
