In 2021, the project "Media and Science in the MENA Region" held three digital workshops in which participants were shown creative ways to share scientific issues they care about with a wide audience in an innovative and understandable way. The workshops were attended by journalists from print and multimedia. Due to the digital format, it was possible to reach out to interested people from the entire MENA region.
In the basic workshop, the participants dealt with research approaches and anti-fake-news action, as well as narration techniques, ideation, and the application of multimedia and mobile reporting. After writing or creating their own articles or multimedia contributions, selected participants took part in a master class including a face-to-face workshop focusing on networking and with a special focus on deepening their knowledge of mobile reporting.
