Franz Kafka in Prague

As part of the Kafka Year 2024, an exhibition on Franz Kafka's life in Prague will open at the Goethe-Institut on 3 June 2024 in cooperation with the Czech Embassy, the Czech Centres and Museum of Czech Literature .

The evening programme features a presentation by Professor Michal Stehlík,the Director of the Museum of Czech Literature, who will deliver an online lecture on the historic context of the timeless literary works of Franz Kafka. With support from the Embassy of Israel and in homage to Kafka’s Jewish & European heritage, the exhibition opening & lecture will be complemented by a solo performance by the Jewish-Ethiopian musician Rasmiskir Hailu Gebru, which will be followed by a reception.
