Exhibition Opening and Picture Lecture
On March 20, the exhibition will open with a digital illustrated lecture by comic artist Nicola Mahler at the Goethe-Institut In the Kafka Year 2024. In April/May 2024, Nicolas Mahler will give a digital workshop "Zeichnen zu Texten von Kafka" for selected artists.
With over 100 pictorial examples, the creation of the drawn biography of Franz Kafka is made tangible. How do you reduce a famous person to the essentials? What is the difference between a caricature and a comic figure? Is it legitmin, to draw world literature and abbreviate its content? These and other questions will be answered in the illustrated lecture.
An important role in the creation of Komplett Kafka is also played by the drawings of Franz Kafka himself.
