Jörg Fauser's autobiographically-influenced novel 'Rohstoff' is set amidst the drug scenes of Istanbul, Berlin, Göttingen and Frankfurt. Harry Gelb is addicted to opium, LSD, heroin, alcohol and writing. The absolute desire to become a writer keeps him going. With constantly changing jobs and living in squats in the underground world of the late 1960s, Harry Gelb pursues his dream.
