Improve Your German

Language students at the Goethe-Institut London receive free membership of the library for the duration of their course.

Seating is available for doing homework and studying.
For better orientation, the DAF materials in our Study Center are mostly marked by level - Beginner (A1–B1.2), Intermediate (B1.2–C1), Advanced C2 

For beginners we offer Easyreaders at different levels.

In our new section "German Literature for Beginners", students at levels B2 / C1 will find literary texts that are suitable for their language level.

We are happy to help students of the literature and culture courses to find supplementary material.

Our DVD collection is mostly subtitled in English and helps many students with listening comprehension.

Our E-Library offers nationwide access to an extensive collection of DaF materials around the clock.

As a teacher you are eligible for our concessionary membership.
In addition to what our Educational Services Department offers, teachers will find a number of resources in the library for use and help with lesson preparation.

In our A-Level area, we offer themed folders with printed primary sources, the equivalent to our A-Level German for Young People website. In addition, of course, the library holdings provide information on most subjects in the curriculum. The Wochenschau magazine is also heavily geared towards these topics.
We offer a small selection of secondary literature for the literary titles in the curriculum. If required, you will find a wide range of offers in our E-Library.

In our DVD section you will find films that are on the A-level curriculum as well as documentaries on cultural studies. The majority of the DVDs are subtitled in English. Some of these films can also be obtained free of charge through our  Educational Services Department.
The section on Primary German offers a selection of teaching materials and picture books that are especially suitable for younger age groups.
