In a creative relationship spanning almost two decades I have had the pleasure of working with five different Goethe-Institut directors and a host of staff dedicated to the promotion of cultural endeavours. I have been consistently impressed by their commitment to mutual respect, artistic independence, along with an unwavering enthusiasm for the arts. Their patronage has underpinned so much of my work over the last 18 years. From our first partnership with Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari in 2004 to our latest, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Nosferatu later this year.


The Institut were instrumental in providing me with a platform that has allowed my musical career to flourish both here in Ireland and internationally. They have supported new and original works which allowed collaboration with artists drawn from Ireland, Europe and the US. A particular word of recognition is due to Heidrun Rottke whose unstinting encouragement has allowed me to bring so many projects into being. I am proud to have had such a positive relationship with Goethe-Institut and wish them the very best as their generosity and vision continue to enable vibrant cross-cultural engagement.
