The Great Fall

Peter Handke

Handke’s narrative is based in the future. After spending a night with a woman he does not love, an actor walks through the woods and the outskirts of a city before coming to the city itself where he meets different people and ponders over countless different things. He thinks about his environment, nature, the city, the encounters and society. As he reaches the city centre, a war breaks out, triggered by the media.
