My Father, the Germans and I

Jurek Becker

The Polish-born author had previously published the essays, lectures, and interviews in this new edition under the title Ende des Größenwahns (End of Megalomania). His own biography plays a major role in it. Because of their Jewish origins, his family was torn apart and taken to different concentration camps. His father survived, found his son again, and moved with him to Germany.
