No Storm, Just Weather
Judith Kuckart
The protagonist, a neurobiologist, is sitting in a café at Tegel Airport. There she meets Robert Storm. At 36, he is half her age and on his way to Siberia. She finds him fascinating, in part because he fits into her pattern of falling in love with 36-year-old men. At 18, she chose Viktor. At 36, she met Johann, who was the same age. Now she falls in love with the younger Robert. When he returns, she’ll be waiting for him at the airport.
