Melinda Nadj Abonji
(born 22.06.1968 in Becsej) writer, musician.
Melinda Nadj Abonji's family moved to Switzerland in 1973 from the author's birthplace in what is now Serbia. Melinda Nadj Abonji studied in Zurich. In 2004 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition. In the same year, she received both the German and the Swiss Book Prize for her novel Tauben fliegen auf, which was published in 2010. Melinda Nadj Abonji lives in Zurich.
