Join us for an enlightening panel discussion, where a group of AI experts, creatives and practitioners will delve deep into the intricate maze of ethical considerations, potential pitfalls, and the promising future of AI in the creative domain. Participants will have the chance to question, challenge, and understand the complex relationship between AI and creative endeavours.

Computational Mama
Computational Mama is an AI Product Evangelist and Community Manager at GOOEY.AI with a focus on Generative AI, also known for her work with Ajaibghar and previous recognition from the Processing Foundation Fellowship 2021 and AIxDesign’s AI Playground program in 2022.

Niranjan Pedanekar
Niranjan Pedanekar, currently the Head of Data Science at Sony Research India, has a diverse background in research and theatre. His recent achievements include the Tendulkar-Dubey fellowship, the Zee Gaurav award for best experimental play of 2023, and a TEDx talk on AI in theatre.

Zuleikha Chaudhari
Zuleikha Chaudhari, a Delhi-based theatre director and lighting designer, is known for her research exploring the intersection of history and theatre, focusing on the performativity of legal truth-production. She is currently a scholar at the Center for Race and Gender at the University of California, Berkeley, and serves as the director of the Alkazi Theatre Archives (ATA) at The Alkazi Foundation for the Arts, New Delhi.

Blessin Varkey
Blessin Varkey leads an engineering team for Generative AI and ML/DL applications for enterprises, via rapid prototyping at Tata Consultancy Services. Additionally, he is a visiting faculty at NIFT Delhi, where he instructs the elective “Theatre: Performance, AI & Design.” As a BeFantastic Fellow in 2023, Blessin, along with a team, showcased the first improvised AI performance, centred on Climate Change at the Future Fantastic Festival, Bangalore, and the LaLaLand festival in the Netherlands. Blessin has a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence.

About the Series: Data & Drama

In the contemporary digital age, the confluence of data, storytelling and visual art is revolutionising the way we communicate, understand, and interpret our world. In this series of events, we want to explore both the potential and the challenges of AI tools in the artistic fields of theatre, writing, storytelling, and visual art. In which ways can these tools help us in creation, in generating and shaping ideas, in overcoming creative blockages etc. – and what are the limits, challenges, legal implications etc.
