Framing the Female Gaze
Photography Workshop
Framing the Female Gaze is an introductory photography workshop where participants will be introduced to selected works from the exhibition 'Empowerment'. With these works as the backdrop, and other artistic framing tools and prompts the participants will explore and create their own photographic works over four hours. The workshop will culminate with a comprehensive edit session and feedback on the works created by the participants. Copies of the works will continue to be on display during the duration of the exhibition. Smartphones are adequate, but other digital format cameras are also welcome.
About the Facilitator:
An architect by training, Aakriti Chandervanshi is an award-winning photographer, visual artist, designer and curator,who has worked on a range of exhibitions and curatorial walks that interrogate and reinterpret narratives of memory, gender and heritage.
