Poetry across the city

This evening, come celebrate the performance in poetry. As a curtain raiser to the Poets Translating Poets festival from the 25 to 27 of November, a handful of actors will "read" from contemporary Hindi, Marathi, and English poetry. Under the sharp eye of Ramu Ramanathan, the evening is meant to bring together music, poetry and performance in an informal adda, taking poetry a step beyond a simple reading.

With the focus on languages, translation, poetry and performance, everyone is invited to bring along a piece of contemporary Indian poetry, or a translation of a poem that has moved you.
