Ranjit Hoskote
Ranjit Hoskote A poet, cultural theorist and curator, Ranjit is the author of numerous books, including Die Ankunft der Vögel (Hanser, 2006), Kampfabsage (Blessing, 2007) and Central Time (2014). India's National Academy of Letters honoured him with the Sahitya Academy Golden Jubilee Award in 2004. In his role as an independent curator, Hoskote has conceived and organised twenty exhibitions of contemporary Indian as well as international art since 1994 and was also the co-creator of the 7th Gwangju Biennale (2008) in South Korea. As a cultural activist, he has been actively involved in organising protest campaigns in defense of victims of cultural intolerance.
