Sharmistha Saha
Sharmistha Saha is assistant professor of English at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Bombay. She completed her postdoctoral and doctoral studies in theatre from Freie Universität, Germany before moving to India. Her research interests include community, politics, convergence of forms and genres in performative practices. She is the recipient of the Premio Cervantes from the Government of Spain for her creative writings in Spanish. Her work as a theatre activist in Jawaharlal Nehru University from 2003 onwards as a student initiated her into the world of theatre. Her upcoming book being published by Aakar Books is called Thinking Indian Theatre: formation of a national body through cultural practice in colonial India .
