Sarfuddin Ahmed In Dhaka, the Poets Translating Poets project works started with the interlinear translation of some selected poems from German into Bangla language and vice-versa. This challenging tusk was meticulously done by Mr. Sarfuddin Ahmed. Previously, he worked as the Head of Language at Goethe-Institut Bangladesh.
Before joining Goethe-Institut Dhaka, he completed the two and a half year long teachers training programme at Goethe-Institut in Munich. He acquired his Master’s degree in German Language and Literature from University of Munich in 1992. Mr. Sarfuddin Ahmed is the author of the book “Deutsche Woerter - Neue Vokabel-Einordnungˮ, which is a special kind of dictionary for German learners based on sound structure of German language. The book has been published by VVB Laufersweiler Verlag, Giessen, Germany. Mr. Ahmed is at present working as a German language teacher at Goethe-Institut Dhaka.
