The library is open to the public and the use of books and media in the library is free of charge.

The Onleihe is the Goethe-Institut's digital library. More than 35,000 German-language e-books, audio books, films, materials for German learners, magazines and newspapers are available to download from the Onleihe.

We want to make it easier for an international audience to access contemporary German-language literature, non-fiction and books for children and young people. Since its foundation 50 years ago, our funding programme has financially supported the publication of around 7,000 books in 45 languages.
