PANEL 4: PLAYBACK THEATRE: BRIDGING ACROSS DIFFERENCES

This talk will explore the topic of the playback theater*, introduce it. How playback theatre can play a socio-psychological and political role especially in the current Lebanese crisis. How it can be a tool to help bridges across differences and honor the human conditions. Farah Wardani will discuss the troupe performances in different cities and villages in Lebanon, where they performed in public spaces and to different communities.
*Laban is a theater-based organization, founded in 2009, that uses improvised theater and its various forms and other different interactive theatrical and artistic tools to create safe spaces for dialogue, storytelling, and improvisation. Laban aims to contribute to advancing civic engagement, promoting freedom of expression, and increasing empathic bonds within and between different communities in Lebanon.
