ArtEvolution is a project part of the Ta’ziz-Partnership, supported by the Goethe-Institut Libanon and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, aiming to support emerging artists in and around the field of Performing Arts.

We are thrilled to announce the presentation of its Artists' work-in-progress, which will be held on the 11th & 12th of November at Zoukak Theatre.

The performances vary from dance to theatre to culinary performance and more. You can meet the artists and their projects here.

Tektoniq Plates is a series of sound performances that are designed to document, anchor and musify our collective memories. Through electronic soundscaping and Arabic-spoken word poetry, the performance presents itself as a theatrical and immersive experience documenting and archiving the bittersweet narratives, memories, heartbreaks and dreams of the post-war generation in Lebanon.

رحّال  is a gender defying contemporary performance that seeks to share with audience the experiences of isolation and alienation once experienced by the artist as a result of toxic masculinity and the patriarchal oppressive belief systems regarding one’s sexual orientation and gender identification.

Incorrigibly yours /حتمًا لك , a contemporary tragedy in the midst of the end times told by a voice without a name. This ongoing project is an extensive research around the status of the voice within virtual and synthetic spaces. It aims to decorticate the material/immaterial presence of the voice in theatre.
