رحّال
Growing up into adulthood I never understood why certain looks made me feel a certain way, why dancing to baladi or wearing crop tops was not okay, or why for some reason I hated myself and was sleeping almost half of everyday in mid-July that one summer.
رحّال is a gender defying contemporary performance that seeks to share with the audience the experiences of isolation and alienation once experienced by the artist as a result of a toxic masculine society and the patriarchal oppressive belief systems regarding one’s sexual orientation and gender identification.
