Freelance VideoGrapher (M/F/D)

The Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. We promote knowledge of the German language abroad and cultivate international cultural cooperation.

The EU co-financed project Living and Working in Germany provides support for preparing to live in Germany, especially for qualified professionals aiming to obtain a job in Germany.

For our social media video project about living and working in Germany, we are looking for a videographer to shoot and edit a series of videos/reels starting in September.

Target group and content:
The project consists of a series of short videos/reels that should convey informative content about the migration process to Germany and life there in a fun and engaging manner. The videographer will edit videos that have already been shot for the project and produce new ones for publication. The specific content of these videos/reels and their implementation will be developed in close cooperation with the project employees.
The target audience are Lebanese and Syrian qualified working professionals and individuals who migrate to Germany as part of family reunification. Accordingly, the content should be produced in English and/or Arabic.

Assignment:
In total there should be 20 videos/reels shot, produced and edited by the videographer, they should not be longer than 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The project's aim is to publish 2 videos/reels every month until the end of June 2025. These can be pre-produced in a shorter time frame or over the course of the above-mentioned time frame. It is possible to assemble and recruit a production team together with the project employees, if needed. The Goethe Institute cannot provide any relevant technical equipment for video production.

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in the field of film, film production or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience as a videographer
  • Experience in the development and implementation of your own videos, as well as their preparation and completion 
  • Experience in assembling your own production team, if needed
  • Target group-sensitive work

The contract period is set until the end of June 2025. The recruitment decision will be based on the work samples and the renumeration expectation provided.
Interviews will take place in the penultimate week of July, and feedback will be given promptly.
