Laila Böcker, a visual artist from Offenbach, has had to curtail her residency program and returning to her home country sooner than the original residency period.

We are delighted to share that during her time here, she has forged numerous meaningful connections and engagements within the local art community. She has also travelled extensively to many parts in the country including Melaka, Penang, Perak, Terengganu, Sabah, and Sarawak. On the 23 September, she conducted an artist sharing entitled “Honey, It’s Not What U Think It Is’ at Lostgens where she shared her previous works and what it means to be an artist based in Offenbach.

We are grateful for the enriching experiences she brought to our creative environment. We look forward to the possibility of welcoming her back in the future and continuing the artistic exchange that she initiated during her residency.
