We are very pleased to inform that Austrian artist, Line Lyhne (b. Aarhus, Denmark) who lives and works in Frankfurt am Main, Germany has been selected for the AIR program in Malaysia.
Line studied at the Städelschule Frankfurt am Main, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera Milano and Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg. She has recently exhibited at the Petra Rinck Galerie, Düsseldorf; Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden; Wiener Art Foundation (WAF), Vienna; SOL, Nexø, Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof and Åplus Contemporary, Berlin. In 2022, she received Niels Wessel Bagge’s Honorary Grant. Line will start her residency here in Kuala Lumpur from August – November 2024.
The AIR Exchange Program is initiated by the Goethe-Institut Malaysia in collaboration with Lostgens’ Contemporary Artspace, Cultural Affairs of the city of Frankfurt am Main and Basis Frankfurt e.V. allowing selected artists from both participating cities to take part in a 3-month artist residency program on an annual basis.
