Its not presentations that hide under the “flipchart” name, but interactive materials for the interactive whiteboard. Flipcharts are made in the ActivInspire program. You can download the software at the Promethean website (https://support.prometheanworld.com/download/activinspire.html?custom_lang=ru). It is supported by Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. To download the software on the Promethean website you need to perform three steps:
1. Choose a language (Russian).
2. Choose an operating system (Microsoft Windows, Mac or Linux).
3. Check the box next to “I have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the license agreement.”
The button “Download ActivInspire” will appear. Clicking on it launches the download. Once the download is complete, the program must be installed on your computer.
You can install the trial version. You do not need to enter a special code for this, but it will be valid for only 40 days. If the school has whiteboards with ActivInspire software, you can take the installation disk and the numerical install code and install the permanent program on your computer (with an unlimited period of time). If there is software installed on the teacher’s computer, it is possible to work on lessons with flipcharts, and without an interactive whiteboard. However, all interactive elements can only be used on the monitor with a computer mouse, and students will see the result on the projector screen.
The course training package also includes PowerPoint presentations, which can partially replace the interactive whiteboard during the class.
