German Online Courses

Online group courses are aimed at those who want to learn German on a flexible basis. The weekly online live sessions take place at fixed times. You will be meeting up with your teacher and your class weekly for nine weeks. If needed, you can also get assistance in Portuguese.

In our German online individual class, you determine your own learning pace, and you will have a few video calls with the teacher for feedback. You can start the course at any time and complete it within a maximum of six months. The support languages are English, French, Spanish, and Russian.

Online group courses are offered at the following levels: A 1.1, A 1.2, A 2.1, A 2.2, B 1.1, B 1.2, B 1.3, B 2.1, B 2.2, B 2.3, C 1.1, and C 1.2.

If you have never learned German before, level A 1.1 is for you.

• Online Group Courses are run over nine weeks per module;
• They consist of one weekly 90-minute live session with your teacher (on Zoom) and;
• approximately four to six hours of self-study on the online learning platform (Moodle) per week;
• Your teacher will give regular feedback on your progress.

Yes, students should be at least 16 years of age.

• Automatically corrected exercises for listening and reading comprehension, syntax, grammar, and vocabulary.
• Speaking and writing assignments like texts and audio to train your active language skills and pronunciation. These assignments will be handed in and corrected by your teacher.
• Group activities like blogs and forums to practice your new skills in an authentic environment and to connect with your group.

The necessary access data will be sent to you by your teacher on the first day of the course at the latest

The requirements for successfully completing the course are regular participation in the online live sessions (at least 70%) and the successful completion of at least 70% of the tasks on the learning platform for each chapter (including 70% of the submission tasks).

The participants will receive a graded certificate of attendance on completion of the course.

No. In order to sit an official exam, it is necessary to register for the Goethe-Zertifikat (Goethe Certificate). The exam fee is not included in the course price of the online group course.

The examinations for the Goethe Certificates A1 to C2 take place twice a year, in February and in June. 
Nevertheless, for some levels, we have extra dates throughout the year. Keep an eye on our communication channels.
