Barbara Takenaga’s Forte was the jumping-off point for this mobile, which reflects her life through the use of colour and other elements. The mobile has two sides, one composed of muted colours, and the other bright and vivid. These symbolize Takenaga’s presence before and after her mother’s death. The two sides also symbolise how life is multifaceted; differences balancing each other out.
